About Me – Richard Jarvis: designer, craftsman, furniture fanatic.
I have been a life-long woodworker and admirer of beautiful furniture and fine craftsmanship. My goal is to design furniture that blends basic forms, clean lines and elegant yet simple shapes using the best available materials and construction methods. My designs give a nod to the works of the great modern furniture makers yet demonstrate a more contemporary aesthetic. The results are pieces focused on comfort, excellent workmanship and affordability that you can live with and enjoy for many years.
Formerly a mechanical engineer, my work is built on a foundation of sound engineering principles of design, selection of materials and construction methods.
Custom Furniture
I will collaborate with you or your interior designer to make custom furniture based on your vision. This relationship ensures that you have the choice of woods, finishes, upholstery fabric or leather. Indeed, the freedom of choice extends to size or accommodation of special ergonomic needs.
